Your opportunity

Team.blue is currently looking for a Business controller Post-Merger Integration to strengthen its Group Control team.

The Business Controller PMI will support the Mergers & Acquistions and Post-Merger Integration teams in their activities and play an important role during the selection, acquisition and integration process of newly acquired companies. In this role you will apply your expertise in controlling, accounting and financing techniques; acting as the main liaison between M&A/PMI and Finance .

The right profile has an analytical mindset and is used to working under pressure and to meet deadlines and has proven over time that he/she is able to keep a lot of different topics running at the same time as team.blue is very active on the M&A front with over 8 closed deals per year. The candidate has a good business understanding from previous experience, understands operational processes and the link they have to the financials.

Ideally the candidate has a first experience with Mergers and Acquisitions processes and Post-Merger Integrations processes from a financial point of view. 

Responsibilities

• Acting as finance business partner in M&A and PMI activities.
• Perform various financial calculations on target companies’ financial data (including transformation of input into team.blue standard analysis frameworks) and derive financial insights.
• Perform ad hoc analysis for management.
• Assist in the integration of newly acquired companies in the respective financial organization and supporting processes.
• Ensure the integration of financial data and reporting into team.blue group systems.
• Ensure compliance with group standards and group accounting principles of newly acquired companies.
• Propose and implement improvements to the financial standards applicable to M&A and PMI processes.
• Follow up on the realization of synergies and other value creation plans within the acquired companies.

What the ideal candidate has

• Master in Economics or Economics-related.
• At least 5 years of experience.
• Likes to work in a team and reflects a positive can-do attitude, willingness to learn and move out of own comfort zone.
• Very strong analytical skills.
• Highly skilled within Excel modelling ; experience with BI tools is an asset.
• Self-driven and ambitious, able to work autonomously (flexible and stress resistant) in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment such as mergers & acquisitions.
• Able to check own work and spot material errors with smart cross-checking methods.
• A synthetic mindset, able to translate complex information in a structured and understandable format.
• Good communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of the organization (so including communication of technical or financial information to a non-technical audience in a concise way).
• An open-minded spirit able to build and maintain good relationships in an international environment.
• The ideal candidate has knowledge of subscription business economics (including experience of revenue and cost deferral and associated complexities) and has affinity with Information Technology.
• The ideal candidate has knowledge of and experience in M&A and PMI processes.
• Fluency in English is a must, all other European languages are valuable assets.
