Portfolio Manager of New Acquisitions
Responsibility for newly acquired companies: critical input to the investment case, overseeing the design and execution of Value Creation and Integration Plans & supervising overall business growth.

team.blue was created in June 2019 by the merger of regional leading hosting providers Combell Group, Register Group and TransIP Group and offers digital presence and enablement tools such as domains, hosting, email, VPS and applications to over 2.5 million SME, SoHo and developer customers across Europe. Your opportunity
The team.blue group grows significantly through M&A, acquiring high-growth SaaS businesses across Europe. The Portfolio Manager will be part of the commercial organization and be responsible for up to 5 acquired companies. Responsibilities include sign-off on new M&A investments, facilitate the post-merger integration, co-define and oversee the execution of the business plan alongside founders / senior leadership and be overall accountable for performance towards team.blue group.
Responsibilities
New M&A investments sign-off and validation:
- Oversee and validate commercial due diligence.
- Run, supported by a team of specialists, in-depth analysis of data to derive financial and commercial assumptions to be used in investment case.
- Sign-off investment thesis, business case, value creation and integration plan before presentation to M&A board.
Post Merger Integration Facilitation:
- Facilitate commercial integration into group standards in the months post acquisition, supported by a dedicated post-merger integration team.
Post Merger Strategic Leadership:
- Be the key contact person between team.blue group commercial function and the founders / senior leaders of acquired businesses.
- Co-define the business plan and value creation plan together with founders / senior leaders of acquired businesses.
- Oversee commercial performance and execution vs plan.
- Coordinate the support of our dedicated team of subject-matter experts as required to support the acquired business in delivering its plan.
- Embody team.blue vision, mission and values for the acquired company staff and enable full integration into team.blue and long-term growth.
Business results responsibility:
- Monitor execution of business plan, value creation and integration plans.
- Be overall accountable and report to team.blue shareholders and board of directors on the overall performance of acquired businesses.
Advisory and coaching:
- Advise and coach the founders / senior leadership of the acquired companies to integrate and grow within team.blue group.
- Manage senior leadership succession of adjacent businesses when relevant.
Skills and experience
- University degree.
- Operational P&L responsibility as business unit lead / GM / Director.
- Experience of data-driven businesses with clear focus on results delivery.
- Preferred experience of team.blue business lines and related drivers.
- Preferred experience in management or strategy consulting / investment banking / private equity.
