Position Overview
We are building a new Finance Excellence Center in Lisbon (Portugal) to provide a complete finance service to our business. The company is currently implementing a new ERP tool across the group (NetSuite) and processes to improve and automate our Finance operations.
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team to support the implementation of the new ERP System and integrate data from all of the companies billing, payroll and customer billing systems. The ideal candidate will have strong data engineering and data integration experience, with the ability to work hands-on and actively support the setup of the new Center, with a strong drive to support ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest
data from various sources. - Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability through
testing and validation. - Support the management and optimization of databricks unity catalogs and delta tables
- Monitor and maintain query performance and security.
- Develop APIs and other interfaces for data access and manipulation.
- Generate reports and visualizations to communicate data insights and pipeline performance.
- Provide technical support for data-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
• Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science; Data Science or related field
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Databricks or it’s related technologies (e.g.Apache Spark, Delta tables, Unity Catalogs) is desirable
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Analytical Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify patterns or anomalies
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
