Role Overview:
The Product Director for Domain Names, Email, and Office Products is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategy, development, and growth of products related to domain operations, SSL Certificates, DNS, Email solutions, and office productivity tools. This role will focus on delivering best-in-class user experiences, increasing customer acquisition and retention, and ensuring the alignment of product offerings with market demands and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Vision:
- Define and communicate a compelling product vision and roadmap for domain names, SSL, email, and office-related products.
- Work closely with executive leadership to align product strategies with the broader business goals.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to shape the product strategy.
- Control and manage Product margins and Costs
- Product Development & Execution:
- Lead a cross-functional team of product managers, and align with stakeholders in engineering, design and marketingto bring new features and products to market.
- Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation through development and launch.
- Ensure products meet business goals, technical feasibility, and customer needs.
- Drive adoption of your flagship solutions and products in all markets and hosting brands of team.blue
- Customer-Centric Focus:
- Champion customer needs and pain points, translating them into innovative product features and solutions.
- Analyze user data, feedback, and market research to optimize product offerings and enhance the customer experience.
- Collaborate with customer success, sales, and support teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and drive customer satisfaction.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to stay ahead of industry trends and innovations, particularly in the domain name, SSL, email, and office productivity space.
- Identify new opportunities for product differentiation, product-market fit, and new market segments.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with senior leadership, sales, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure product strategy and execution align with company objectives.
- Present product updates, vision, and roadmaps to key stakeholders and executives.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for products and use data analytics to measure product success and make data-driven decisions.
- Continuously optimize products based on performance metrics, user feedback, and emerging trends.
- Monitor the inventories of Domains and emails
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a growing team of product managers and cross-functional teams.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or director-level role.
- At least 8 years of experience working in the web hosting or related industry, with a strong background in domain registration services, email hosting, and office productivity tools.
- Proven track record of successful product management experience in domains, email products, or office productivity tools within the web hosting or internet infrastructure industry.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Deep understanding of domain registration services, SSL, email hosting/solutions, and office productivity tools (e.g., email management, collaboration suites, and business software).
- Ability to think strategically and analytically to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with executives and stakeholders.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
