Position
As an HR Manager, you will report to the HR Director SEU and be the trusted partner for the business, by identifying and analysing business needs and advising them, as well as overseeing and driving HR practices and projects. Whilst you do not need to be an expert in our markets, we do expect you to have a solid understanding of local HR practices and processes so you can shape the execution of the HR strategy in Greece. You will therefore also lead in coordinating key HR projects and improvements as the main contact person for internal and external parties and senior country and group leadership.
Scope
You will be responsible for HR across the legal entity in Greece (Enartia), managing one direct report, and will work closely with the wider people community on the HR agenda. You will also be collaborating and supporting on core projects such as leadership and people development, career progression initiatives, local employee projects, implementing and following up on our performance review cycle, country-specific benefits and policies, and employee engagement.
The company has approximately 60 employees, spread across Heraklion, Athens, and Thessaloniki. As a result, work is almost fully remote. The office in Heraklion is the brand's headquarters and the city where around 50% of employees live and work.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as HR Business Partner to the local leadership team, supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day people matters.
- Define and execute the annual HR plan in alignment with Group HR strategy and local business needs, while actively contributing to the Local Management Team by driving the HR agenda and supporting overall business strategy.
- Implement Group-level HR projects, ensuring effective execution and compliance with local legislation.
- Lead the full employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, development, internal mobility, payroll coordination, contract management, HR administration (with support from the HR Assistant), and offboarding.
- Support managers in handling employee relations, performance management, and team effectiveness.
- Provide HR analytics and reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
- Coordinate and present at team events (virtual and in-person), ensuring strong HR visibility and engagement.
- Implement new policies and internal procedures in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage technical training requests, liaise with providers, and coordinate delivery within budget.
- Handle local administrative tasks such as payroll inputs, medical check-ups, GDPR training, and expense reports.
- Contribute to office management, including vendor relations and supply coordination for the new office.
- Maintain and update the company intranet with relevant HR content.
- Lead local ESG and Social Responsibility initiatives, with a focus on donation programs.
Profile
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in an international, fast-paced matrix environment.
- Solid knowledge of Greek payroll processes and local HR practices, including labour law and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrates leadership experience and the ability to guide or coach others, formally or informally.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organisation.
- Proven experience in implementing local HR projects and initiatives that align with broader Group strategies.
- HR system savvy.
- Excellent English and Greek written and verbal communication skills.
- Pragmatic, no-nonsense, hands-on mindset.
- Organizationally sensitive, with strong communication skills; independent yet knows when to align.
- Excellent project and change management capabilities, with strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
