Position

As a Legal Counsel - Turkey, you will report to our Group Legal PaaS Counsel based in Italy, and you will be the liaison between him, our Turkish entities and the relevant business area organization. You will be part of a close-knit group of legal professionals mainly based in Europe, who share group responsibilities in addition to regional or local responsibilities. In the future, it's possible you'll be asked to cover group responsibilities as well.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on commercial contracts, including internal and external client contracts, NDA’s, supplier contracts, general terms & conditions, and other commercial agreements for the relevant area of business. This will include reviewing, revising, drafting and negotiating all contracts and supporting to sales staff as required. You will also manage legal issues in accordance with applicable local laws and company policies, as well as manage processes and reply to requests from legal authorities or customers in Turkey
• Handle corporate legal for the relevant area of business, including corporate housekeeping of the relevant area legal entities and (in cooperation with the HR partners) giving support for labour law matters in the given jurisdictions
• Provide advice on general legal and compliance risks and proposals for mitigating risks in connection with business activities, products and services, and customer disputes
• Provide support to the Group Legal PaaS Counsel and other departments in connection with group projects, as required
• Provide support to the Group Privacy Officer and DPO for privacy matters and cooperate to ensure privacy compliance for the relevant area legal entities
• Provide support to M&A Group Legal in case of M&A activities in your relevant area
• Coordinate external counsels supporting you in the relevant area of business
• Assist in making sure legal, compliance and ESG commitments are fulfilled and in increasing the overall legal maturity of the relevant area of business
• Work on group projects in line with your capabilities and aspirations

Profile

• Law degree
• Five years of experience in a business and international environment
• Strong time management, prioritization and organization skills
• You are self-managing, consult easily with your colleagues, ask questions and take initiative, as well as being able to efficiently manage external consultants and coordinate with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written English and communication skills
• Ability to provide pragmatic and business-focused legal advice
