Position
We are looking for an HR Business Partner to support our growing business in Slovakia. This is a hands-on HR role for someone who can combine strong business partnering with operational excellence and HR administration.
You will work closely with managers and employees across the full employee life cycle and advise on people topics, support organizational change, and ensure HR operations run smoothly and compliantly. This role is a strong fit for someone who has worked in a fast-moving IT, SaaS, or digital business and is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
Business partnering and people advisory:
Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees in Slovakia.
Advise on employee relations, performance, team structure, development, engagement, and policy application.
Coach managers through people decisions and difficult conversations.
Support workforce planning, hiring priorities, and organizational changes.
Help implement regional or group HR initiatives in a practical, local way.
Use HR data and business insight to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Operational HR administration, hands-on:
Prepare and manage employment contracts, amendments, confirmations, and exit documents.
Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data across the employee lifecycle.
Coordinate payroll inputs and changes with payroll providers or internal payroll teams.
Validate payroll-related data before deadlines to ensure accuracy.
Support benefits administration and local vendor coordination.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding administration, including documentation, system updates, and communication.
Support absence administration, leave tracking, and employee documentation.
Maintain high-quality, confidential, audit-ready HR files and records.
Compliance, process improvement, and projects:
Monitor updates in Slovak labor legislation and support required HR process changes.
Ensure local HR processes are compliant and aligned with company standards.
Contribute to HR projects linked to growth, integration, harmonization, and process improvement.
Identify ways to simplify HR administration and improve employee experience.
Profile
At least 5 years of experience in a HR Business Partner role or senior advisory HR role, ideally within an international or fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of the Slovak Labour Code and HR compliance.
Proven ability to implement and execute HR policies and frameworks.
Excellent communication skills in English and Slovak.
Structured approach with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Confidence in advising and influencing managers and employees.
Strong sense of accountability and ability to work independently.
Curiosity, proactivity, and a drive to improve processes and employee experience.
Reliability, openness, a collaborative mindset, and a good sense of humor.
